TEDxDelft 2013

TEDxDelft 2013 took place on October 4 and delivered a full day of inspiration centered around the theme “Do Try This at Home.” The event featured 16 speakers and performers, each bringing their own perspective to the stage and encouraging the audience to actively engage with ideas beyond the event itself.

The theme invited visitors not just to listen, but to apply what they had learned in their own lives. Talks ranged from personal stories of resilience, such as overcoming homelessness, to forward-looking innovations in sustainability, technology and society. Speakers explored topics including building cities on water, reshaping economic systems, the power of data, and the importance of play and experimentation.

In addition to the talks, the programme included musical performances and creative acts that blended art and science, reinforcing the event’s dynamic and multidisciplinary character. TEDxDelft 2013 created an environment where ideas were not only shared, but also translated into action, inspiring the audience to experiment, reflect and “try this at home.”
