Most people seem to have a negative image of genetic engineering. This is unnecessary and, moreover, already part of the current reality. By redesigning living cells using revolutionary tools, we can tackle the challenges of the 21st century.

Charlotte has always been fascinated by how we can completely change a cellโ€™s purpose and function by just adding a little piece of DNA. To make her fascination a career she obtained her masterโ€™s degree in Life Science & Technology, where she graduated on developing a fast and efficient method to generate new and optimized genetic variants of yeasts by โ€˜crossingโ€™ parental strains with specific desired characteristics.
