TEDxDelft 2013 | TEDxDelft welcomes TU’s 900 new international students!

Ideas worth spreading need to be spreadable. And that’s what TEDxDelft did on Thursday night at the Multicultural Event held in TU Delft.

Over 900 new international students and nearly 100 volunteers, staff members and other visitors gathered at the Aula for the closing ceremony of the Introduction Program 2013. There were cultural performances, workshops and over 32 student societies and on-campus organizations set up stall to introduce themselves to the new batch of students. Organized by the Delft International Student Society (DISS) and the Central International Office, the event included cultural dances by Indian, Chinese and Greek students. Workshops on Latin dance, Aikido, Lindy Hop and other fun things.

We were there too and through the course of the evening we interacted with over 200 students interested in volunteering for TEDxDelft 2013. Early birds to our stall were happy to get their very own copy of the fabulous ‘Do Try This At Home’ poster. “It was really promising for all of us here to see the number of students interested in helping out. Everyone had different interest areas, in fact one of the students even asked if we needed anyone to design posters for us!” says Molly Quell, our Communications and PR manager.
